Classics Reading

Help your child get early exposure to Traditional Chinese today

Is this class right for my child?

I want my child to…

Develop fluent pronounciation and character recognition

Strengthen memory and focus through reciting classical texts

Build a moral foundation through the four books and five classics (四書五經)

What is Choral reading?

Help students become familiar with Chinese Classical texts

How does it work?

Choral reading is learning style where the teacher reads a snippet of text, and then the students repeat the same snippet aloud at the same time. It is a well known, research-supported way of learning

What are the benefits of Choral reading

  • Encourages active participation (and creates a supportive space for self-conscious students)

  • Builds reading fluency, vocabulary and confidence. All students are practising at the same time
